Queensland lining manufacturer gains overseas industrial contract

Gold Coast industrial lining company Rhino Linings Australasia Pty Ltd has had a string of overseas success with the recent securing of an offshore agent and a $500,000 deal to supply flooring to the largest fish market in Sri Lanka.  The company's hard work has allowed them to enter the Indian and broader South Asian regions.

Rhino Linings manufactures spray applied polyurethane and polyurea elastomeric liners which provide protective and hard wearing coatings for applications such as abrasion, impact, corrosion, containment and blast mitigation.  The linings can be applied in the automotive, commercial, water & waste water, military, mining and industrial sectors.

Rhino Linings first foray into India came about in 2007 due to an introduction to the Bangalore based property developer Gopalan Industries via the Queensland Governments India office.  Rhino Linings has since gone on to secure an Indian-based agent for their products, and is now in the process of negotiating several deals in the Indian market. Rhino Linings are also negotiating with Pune based property developer Marvel Realtors for the water-proofing of an upcoming industrial development.
Rhino Linings has also met extensively with the automotive industry in country and are in discussions to install their products into vehicles for export from India.

India is currently Queensland's second largest merchandise trading partner, worth some $6.6 billion to the State's economy in 2009-10, or almost 12 per cent of Queensland's merchandise exports.
